Data Scientist & ML Engineer
I build ML systems that actually make it to production. That's rarer than it should be.
I started in quantitative finance. Spent years pricing credit derivatives at Natixis, modeling risk premiums at Kepler Cheuvreux, and developing bond strategies at TOBAM when they had $10B under management. Working with real money teaches you fast: a model that doesn't run reliably under real constraints is just an expensive spreadsheet.
I founded Analitika to bring that same discipline to ML and GenAI consulting. Mostly for enterprise and public sector clients in France. One project I'm proud of: we automated the budget notification process for the French Ministry of Health, taking what used to be a full day's work down to 15 minutes per establishment. Another involved building LLM pipelines to extract and classify government documents at scale.
My background is a bit unusual for this space. Born in Quito, Ecuador, I came to France in 2004 to study at Ecole Polytechnique, where I later completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics. Three published papers on stochastic processes, a decade in finance, then the leap to tech. I think that's why clients hire me: I'm not just comfortable with the math, I've been accountable for the results.
I also teach. I designed and delivered a 40-hour applied GenAI course for professionals through the Sociedad Ecuatoriana de Estadistica, and I've spoken on AI for legal research at Ecuador's Consejo de la Judicatura and Defensoria Publica. I believe in making this technology accessible, not just building it.
